Association between conversion to in-center nocturnal hemodialysis and right ventricular remodeling
Nephrology Dialysis Transplantation Aug 26, 2017
Karur GR, et al. – Changes in right ventricular (RV) mass index (MI), end–diastolic volume index (EDVI), end–systolic volume index (ESVI) and ejection fraction (EF) after conversion to in-center nocturnal hemodialysis (INHD) were assessed, as well as, their relationship with left ventricular (LV) remodeling was examined. An association was observed between conversion to INHD and a significant reduction of RVESVI. In addition, temporal changes in RV mass, volume, and function paralleled those of LV.
