Association between circulating 25-hydroxyvitamin D levels and psoriasis and correlation with disease severity: A meta-analysis
Clinical and Experimental Dermatology | Jan 20, 2018
Lee YH, et al. - The connection between circulating 25-hydroxy vitamin D [25(OH)D] levels and psoriasis was comprehensively evaluated among patients with psoriasis and healthy controls (HCs). In addition, researchers gauged the correlation between serum/plasma 25(OH)D levels and psoriasis severity. Patients with psoriasis exhibited lower circulating 25(OH)D levels. Findings also unveiled the presence of a minor yet statistically prominent negative correlation between 25(OH)D levels and psoriasis severity.
