Assessment of the LDL-C/HDL-C ratio as a predictor of one year clinical outcomes in patients with acute coronary syndromes after percutaneous coronary intervention and drug-eluting stent implantation
Lipids in Health and Disease Feb 10, 2019
Zhong Z, et al. - Researchers investigated the impact of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol/high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C/HDL-C) ratio on 1-year prognosis of drug-eluting stent (DES) implantation patients after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). They divided 1937 patients who underwent primary PCI and DES implantation and achieved LDL-C with statins, into two groups on the basis of LDL-C/HDL-C ratio between May 2014 and July 2016. Outcomes suggest that among patients with ACS, high LDL-C/HDL-C ratio was associated with cardiovascular events after PCI and DES implantation.
