Arthroscopic autologous scapular spine bone graft combined with bankart repair for anterior shoulder instability with sub-critical (10%-15%) glenoid bone loss
Arthroscopy Feb 15, 2021
Xiang M, Yang J, Chen H, et al. - This study was sought to evaluate whether the autologous scapular spine bone graft is an alternative for the treatment of anterior shoulder instability and the clinical and radiological results are promising. Researchers treated patients who have diagnosed with anterior shoulder instability with sub-critical (10%-15%) glenoid bone loss by arthroscopic repair with autologous scapular spine bone graft between July 2016 and August 2018. A total of 27 patients were included in the study. This study’s findings demonstrated that anterior shoulder instability with sub-critical (10%-15%) glenoid bone loss treated with arthroscopic autologous scapular spine bone graft with suture anchor fixation is safe, and could achieve a satisfactory result at short term follow up.
