Artemisia iwayomogi plus Curcuma longa synergistically ameliorates nonalcoholic steatohepatitis in HepG2 cells

Kim HG, et al. - The objectives of the study described in this paper were to assess the anti-nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) impacts of a combination of A. iwayomogi and C. longa radix and researched the corresponding mechanisms utilizing in vitro nonalcoholic fatty liver diseases (NAFLDs) and NASH model. In this study, they observed synergic impacts of A. iwayomogi and C. longa on NASH, supporting the clinical potential for fatty liver disorders. In addition, modulation of ER stress-relative molecules would be involved in its underlying mechanism.
