Antiaging efficacy of a retinaldehyde-based cream compared with glycolic acid peel sessions: A randomized controlled study
Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology Dec 19, 2018
Rouvrais C, et al. - Authors compared the effectiveness and safety of an antiaging cream containing 0.1% RAL related to Glycylglycine Oleamide (GGO, Relastide) and Pre-tocopheryl, to Glycolic acid (GA) peels sessions in the treatment of photoaging. They randomized 55 women with photoaging in 2 treatment groups: Daily application of the antiaging cream for 8 weeks or Three sequential GA peels (20%, 50%, and 70%), 2-3 weeks apart. When compared with 3 sequential GA peels, dermocosmetic cream containing 0.1% RAL, GGO (Relastide) and Pre-tocopheryl displayed similar efficacy but with better tolerance. Thus it is demonstrated to be an alternative in the management of photoaged skin.
