International Endodontic Journal Sep 15, 2017
Takanche JS, et al. - Study authors attempted to measure the properties of Schisandrin C as an anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant compound, and whether its characteristics promote mitochondrial biogenesis in human dental pulp cells (HDPCs). They suggested that Schisandrin C has the potential to lessen inflammation and oxidation and to promote mitochondrial biogenesis. They advised that Schisandrin C might be considered for use as an anti-inflammatory compound for oral inflammation through mitochondrial biogenesis.
