International Endodontic Journal Jun 20, 2018
Yong JB, et al. - Authors evaluated if the timing of pulp disease after tooth restoration was related to the type of restorative dental material used, the extent of the restoration or tooth type. The disease developed sooner in teeth that developed pulp disease requiring further intervention that were restored with crowns and five-surface glass–ionomer cement (GICs) developed than teeth that were restored with amalgam or composite. Compared to molars, the pulp disease developed sooner in teeth with 5-surface restorations that developed pulp disease requiring further intervention, premolar and anterior teeth.
