Yi TY, et al. - This study was initiated in order to contemplate the effectiveness of stent retrieval combined with intra-arterial intra-arterial recombinant tissue plasminogen activator (rt-PA) administration via micro-catheter (called the complex technique) in acute ischemic stroke. This mechanical thrombectomy procedure led to improved angiographic results. Furthermore, it shortened the procedure duration without increasing adverse events.
