Accuracy of three-dimensional dental resin models created by fused deposition modeling, stereolithography, and Polyjet prototype technologies: A comparative study
The Angle Orthodontist Mar 13, 2018
Rebong RE, et al. - Authors sought to evaluate the dimensional accuracy of fused deposition modeling (FDM)-, Polyjet- and stereolithography (SLA)-produced models by comparing them to traditional plaster casts. It was determined that the 3D printed models and the plaster casts did not exhibit statistically significant differences in most of the parameters. Nevertheless, compared to plaster models, dental models reconstructed by FDM technology had the fewest dimensional measurement differences.
