Abnormal retention of nuclear lamina and disorganization of chromatin-related proteins in spermatozoa from DPY19L2-deleted globozoospermic patients
Reproductive BioMedicine Online Aug 24, 2017
Paci M et al. – This study aimed to characterize the nuclear lamina (NL) and lamin chromatin–partners in spermatozoa from 4 DPY19L2–deleted globozoospermic patients. The results showed that lack of NL maturation, as well as modifications in expression and location of chromatin–partners, can explain the chromatin defects observed in globozoospermia (rare phenotype). Thus, the study strongly emphasized the role of NL and associated proteins during human spermiogenesis.
