Mercuro NJ, et al. - Researchers planned this retrospective analysis comparing oral stepdown therapy [fluoroquinolone (FQ) vs beta-lactams (BLMs)] for Enterobacteriaceae bloodstream infections (EB-BSI). Observations revealed that oral BLMs were non-inferior to FQs as stepdown therapy for EB-BSI, with less antibiotic-associated adverse events.
