Rocha AC, et al. - Experts conducted a randomized, double-blind clinical trial to assess the influence of different dentin surface treatments in noncarious cervical lesions (NCCLs). In terms of marginal discoloration, marginal adaptation, and postoperative sensitivity, studied dentin surface treatments demonstrated similar clinical performance to the conventional technique at 36 months. On the contrary, in composite Class V restorations, increased acid-etching time resulted in a higher risk of failure due to retention over time.
