Glibert M, et al. - In patients with a bar-supported mandibular overdenture, researchers compared the crestal bone loss of hybrid surface implant with moderately rough implants. They enrolled fully edentulous patients for treatment with implant-supported overdentures. As per data, for implant treatment in the edentulous mandible, hybrid surface implants were a viable alternative. Crestal bone did not show a statistically significant difference between the different implant surfaces or between the different time intervals.
