Manning S, et al. - Herein, the authors examined if intravitreal dexamethasone as an adjuvant to intravitreal antibiotics was beneficial in the treatment of suspected bacterial endophthalmitis after cataract surgery. No improvement was achieved in the visual acuity (VA) through intravitreal dexamethasone without preservatives as an adjuvant to intravitreal antibiotics, in the study cohort.
