Imai K, et al. - Authors undertook this work to present a new diagnostic procedure for human malaria using loop mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) and the MinION nanopore sequencer. This diagnostic method seemed to have a potential of becoming a simple and accurate tool for the identification of human Plasmodium species, even in resource-limited situations.
