A new radiological measurement method used to evaluate the modified transconjunctival orbital fat decompression surgery
BMC Ophthalmology Apr 21, 2021
Li B, Feng L, Tang H, et al. - Using a new radiological method, researchers sought to assess the plastic effect of modified transconjunctival orbital fat decompression surgery in patients with inactive thyroid-associated ophthalmopathy. Ten inactive patients (14 eyes) with moderate to severe thyroid-associated ophthalmopathy were chosen. The radiological assessment method used in this study is straightforward and simple to apply. The modified orbital fat decompression surgery is worth considering for inactive patients with moderate to severe thyroid-associated ophthalmopathy who simply want to improve their appearance.
