A longitudinal analysis of peripapillary choroidal thinning in healthy and glaucoma subjects
American Journal of Ophthalmology Nov 08, 2017
Mundae RS, et al. - In this study, using spectral domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT), researchers assessed the rate of peripapillary choroidal thinning in glaucoma patients and healthy controls. Findings revealed that during a relatively short follow-up period, no significant difference was obvious in the rate of peripapillary choroidal thinning between healthy and glaucoma eyes. In order to investigate if monitoring the rate of peripapillary choroidal thickness (PCT) change has a role in glaucoma management, longer follow-up is required.
