The Journal of Urology Jul 19, 2018
Kahokehr AA, et al. - Authors assessed the management of recurrence after urethroplasty for bulbar urethral stricture disease (BUSD) at their institution. Findings suggested a greater likeliness of recurrence after urethroplasty within the first 12 months. They suggested that a salvage endoscopic procedure (dilation or visual urethrotomy) could manage the type A (short focal) recurrence. Findings demonstrated the utility of this data on the phenotype of recurrence for patient management.
