Marsdal KE, et al. - This study, performed as part of a quality improvement project, was done to compare the efficacy and safety of 200 μg Misoprostol Vaginal Insert (MVI) vs 25 μg Misoprostol vaginal tablets (MVT) for labor induction in nulliparous women. Compared to MVT, MVI appeared to be a more efficient labor induction agent, and with a lower CS rate and no increase in adverse infant outcomes in a setting of routine obstetric care.
