12 years of repair of amalgam and composite resins: A clinical study

Operative Dentistry Jan 13, 2018

Estay J, et al. - Here, the researchers clinically assessed repaired posterior amalgam (AM) and composite restorations over a 12 year period. They also examined the influence of repair in the survival of restorations and compared their behavior with respect to controls. Most clinical parameters examined were similar between all groups during the follow-up. Therefore, the repair of resin (RC) and AM restorations was a good clinical option as it was minimally invasive and could consistently increase the longevity of restorations.
