• She is the honorary professor of Clinical Medicine, Sri Ramachandra University, Porur, Chennai, India
• She has been the Director, Associates in Clinical Endocrinology, Education and Research (ACEER), Chennai, India
• She has an experience in Clinical Endocrinology for more than 35 years
• She has board certificates & licensure from Illinois, 1979 to present, Diplomate of American Board of Endocrinology, 1985 & Diplomate of American Board of Internal Medicine, 1983
• She has been the President in Indian Society of Bone and Mineral Research
• She has also been the Joint Secretary in Indian Menopause Society, Chennai 
• She has been the Head, Department of Endocrinology, St. Joseph Hospital, Chicago, Illinois, USA, (2006-2009)
• She was also an Assistant Professor, Rush University, Chicago, Illinois, USA, (2003-2004)
• She has been the principal investigator in Post-Menopausal Evaluation & Risk Assessment with Lasofoxifene (Pearl Study), 2001, also in Athena: Role of Pegvisomant in Diabetic Nephropathy & in Comparison of Glimiperide and Metformin in children with type 2 diabetes

• She has been on the editorial board of Hormone & Metabolic Research and the Journal of Association of Physicians of India & of AFOS Journal
• She has published a book chapter of Childhood Obesity in Textbook on Pediatric Endocrinology
• She has also published a book chapter of Thyroid disorders in Pregnancy & Pituitary Disorders in Pregnancy in the textbook of Medical Disorders in Pregnancy
