About the presenter:
- Dr Ashok Mahashur is a Consultant Chest Physician at the P. D. Hinduja National Hospital & Medical Research Centre and visiting consultant at Saifee Hospital, Mumbai, India
- He is the Governor of American college of Chest Physicians, Western India
- As the editor of Thorax (India), Dr Mahashur has authored & co-authored over 200 published articles and serves on the editorial boards of various prestigious international journals
- He has delivered a number of orations and guest lectures both nationally and internationally
- The former president of the Indian Chest Society, he is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (Glasgow), the American College of Chest Physicians, the Indian College of Physicians and the National College of Chest Physicians, India
- He is the only Asian member in Global Respiratory infection programme, UK
