- Dr Aneesh is a Professor of Medicine working in Wayanad
- He is the associate editor of the Asian Journal of Medical Sciences and the Journal of Current Research in Scientific Medicine
- He has teaching experience- undergraduate medical teaching of 13 years and postgraduate teaching of 6 years
- He has over 50 publications in indexed journals
- He is a member of the Cochrane collaboration and the Cochrane neuromuscular diseases group, UK
- Presently he is on the Editorial Board as senior editor of the Australasian Medical Journal, a PubMed indexed international peer-reviewed journal and member of the editorial board of the Journal of Medical Research
- He is also the expert reviewer for journals including BMJ case reports, AMJ, Mediterranean Journal of Haematology & Infectious diseases and Asian Journal of Medical Sciences
