Workshop on Practical Approach to Acute Neurology

It is estimated that more than 3 crore people in India (excluding traumatic brain injury and brain infections) suffer from various forms of neurological diseases. Under the Aegis of Zydus Hospitals & Neuroscientists Association of Gujarat a 'CME and workshop on practical approach to Acute Neurology' was successfully conducted with the guidance of Course Director, Dr. Ajit Sowani (Sr. Neurologist & Head of Neurosciences Department, Zydus Hospitals) on June 23rd & 24th, 2018 at Hotel Hyatt, Vastrapur, Ahmedabad.
The workshop was attended by a large number of Physicians and Neurologists of Gujarat and was focused on the current trends in the Diagnosis and Practical management of various neurological disorders in clinical practice. The scientific sessions were lively and interactive. A special feature was video-based discussions on various interesting cases of patients suffering from mental condition which were highly appreciated by the physicians.
The faculty consisted of highly eminent neurologists of India including Dr. B. S. Singhal, Dr. Ashok Panagariya, Dr. M. M. Mehndiratta, Dr. Vivek Lal, Dr. Subhash Kaul, Dr. J.B Agadi, Dr. Debhashish Chowdhury, Dr. Nirmal Suraya, Dr. R. Lakshmi Narasimhan, Dr. Hrishikesh Kumar, Dr. U. Meenakshisundaram, Dr. Dinesh Nayak, Dr. Chaturbhuj Rathore, Dr. Sudhir Kumar & Dr. Sumit Singh.
The main objective of this two-day program was to raise awareness of the latest practical management techniques in various common neurological illnesses. This will help to improve the day-to-day management of neurological diseases amongst the medical community. It is hopeful that this will ultimately benefit the patients who suffer from neurological illnesses.
