Workshop on 'Basic Life Support Skill and CPR' held at GNDU, Amritsar

A basic life support skill and CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation) workshop was organized by Dr Karanjeet Singh Kahlon, Registrar at Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU), Amritsar on May 15.
The primary objective of this workshop was to impart training to the administrative officers and officials in providing immediate first aid in critical situations and emergency. Dr Raman Chatrath (MD) Anesthetist has conducted the seminar-cum-workshop for the university employees along with his team. It was an excellent initiative by the Vice Chancellor Dr Jaspal Singh Sandhu to join hands with “Each One Save One” has led to wider awareness about CPR and its use in saving lives.
All the participants showed their zeal to learn Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) techniques from the experts. The Registrar said that with more inventions and life-style changes, various kinds of mental and physical ailments and the heart attacks become a normal term for everyone of us these days it is due to our sedentary lifestyle and stressful environment. Overall, the workshop was successful and useful for everyone.
