Fox News Dec 13, 2018
Surgeons at SS Hospital, Uttar Pradesh have successfully separated conjoined twins who were born attached at the stomach.
The twin girls together weighed just 7 lbs, and while the parents didn't wish to separate the infants, doctors managed to convince them to go ahead with the surgery. The surgery took around 5 hours and involved separating the breastbone and liver. Doctors mentioned that it is one of the rarest surgeries conducted at the hospital. They even conducted the surgery for free because the parents could not afford it.
