UP CM directs development of SGPGIMS to have state of art facilities

On the directive of Uttar Pradesh Chief minister Yogi Adityanath, state's prestigious Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS) decided to develop state of the art facilities in the hospital.
The state government has enhanced the medical facilities at the SGPGIMS, which includes 210 bedded state of the art Emergency Medicine Centre. The other facilities to be made are 180 bedded super specialised kidney transplant Centre, procurement of state of the art equipment for liver transplant unit and to set up robotic surgery centre. Hospital's official on 28 February said to develop and establish these state of the art facilities at SGPGIMS a MOU was finalised in the presence of higher authorities of State Bank of India (SBI), Principal Secretary Medical Education, Dr Rajneesh Dubey, Director SGPGI, Dr Rakesh Kapoor and other officials.
SGPGIMS will take of a loan of Rs 473 crore from the State Bank of India (SBI) to implement these projects. The SGPGIMS PRO claimed that with the accomplishment of these projects the healthcare of UP will take a leap and be at par with the best medical facilities available in the country.
