Two-day medical conference held at Navy's INHS Asvini

The Navy's INHS Asvini and its School of Medical Assistants organised a two-day conference that focused on paramedical training, management of emergencies in combat zones and casualty evacuation in the three services, officials said on May 5.
The conference held on May 6 was attended by officers from the Navy, Army and the Air Force, a release said. The release said that Surgeon Rear Admiral G Vishwanath, Command Medical Officer, Southern Naval Command, in his keynote address, stressed on the importance of training to improve combat efficiency. A resource CD for paramedics, compiled by the School of Medical Assistants, was also released during the conference.
