'HOSPICON-2018', a two-day convention for specialist doctors and hospital managements, will be held from February 24 at Residency Club here.

The event is being organized by Kolhapur Medical Association (KMA). In a press release here on Sunday, KMA President Dr Ravindra Shinde said HOSPICON-18 convention was the first ever conference of its kind in the western Maharashtra, related to issues of hospital management and its problems. Maharashtra Medical Council had been give four points to the convention.

Stating that Kolhapur, known for good whether and great hospitality, was becoming a major medical hub in the state, Dr Shinde said HOSPICON was a fest of all subjects related to daily hospital problems and management. During the conference various subjects related day to day practice, including medico legal issues, labor issues, crises, financial and practice managements would be discussed.

He said about 300 representatives from Satara, Sangli, Solapur, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg would attend the convention which would have various stalls showcasing all hospital equipment, instruments, electric items, hospital linen, software products, solar energy and pharmaceutical products for choosing and selecting medical products at cost effective rates.
