Swine flu: Isolation wards to provide free tests, medicines in Haryana

The Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij on January 24 said that the health department has opened 'Isolation wards' in every hospital, for the patients suffering from Swine Flu.
The patients were tested and given medicines free of cost in civil hospitals including civil hospital Ambala, the Minister told the media.
However, the swine flu had mostly spread in the areas bordering Rajasthan, where special arrangements had been made to control the disease, the minister further said.
The civil hospital Ambala Cantt Senior Medical Officer Dr Satish Kumar said that special Isolation wards had been opened but no patients, suffering from the disease, had been admitted till date. Dr Satish advised that people suffering from cold, cough and fever should remain indoors in the winter season.
