Saibaba Sansthan Trust, Shirdi in Ahmednagar district has approved to provide fund of Rs 15 crore to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) at Aurangabad to purchase MRI machine.

According to the GMCH Dean Dr Kanan Yelikar, at present GMCH has two CT scan machines and one MRI machine of old version. The number of needy patients benefits from the machines which were installed many years ago, they break down from time to time facing inconvenience of patients. Hence, the GMCH has submitted a proposal through Dr Varsha Rote, Head of X-RAY Department to the trust officer to get fund for new CT scan and MRI machines during last February. The management committee of the trust approved the proposal of providing Rs 15 crore to GMCH, she added.
