Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said that several renowned medical colleges, hospitals and universities are coming up in the new capital city of Amaravathi which would be a Greenfield and knowledge city of the country in future.

Laying the foundation stone for Construction of Amaravati American Institute of Medical Sciences (AAIMS) through video linkage from A1 convention centre here today, he said the NRI doctors, who migrated to US were returning to India to establish best hospitals and medical colleges here and AAIMS is one of such institution, being established by Telugu NRIs.The government is ready to provide them the required infrastructure, he added.​​​​​​​

Mr Naidu predicted that in future even Americans would come to Amaravathi for medical treatment as the treatment will be available at an affordable price.He said that the budget for medical and health was enhanced to provide best medical treatment to the people of the state.
