Remote areas of HP offering specialised healthcare through Telemedicine services

Himachal Pradesh has succeeded in transforming the rural and remove health care services by offering state of the art Telemedicine services in many parts of state .
Stating this Health Minsiter Vipin Singh addressing a meeting with the officer of department at Shimla on June 5, said that Telemedicine is proving to be boon of science to the people of Himachal who could not able to get treatment in the developed health care centre. He said that to transforming services in far flung and remote places in the state, government has linked 50 remove hospitals of Lahaul Spiti, Kinnuar and Chamba district with Telemedicine facility.
It played an important role to improve evolved health facility in such remote areas as government focusing to extend Telemedicine in more than 50 places on the analogy of Lahaul-Spiti district to reduce the distance barriers, he asserted. State government is improving access to specialised health services in those areas where distant rural communities of Lahaul spiti and Pangi are still deprived of the quality health services .
Minister also pointed out that the facility play important role in such areas to save lives in critical care and emergency situations. This technology also permit the communications between patient and medical staff with both convenience and fidelity, as well as the transmission of medical, imaging and health informatics data from one site to another Mr. Parmar also added. Chief Medical Officer of Keylong, Dr D D Sharma revealed that this effective health care services need not to depute doctors in the land lock areas as the specialists could treat patients from the far away without the travel them .
