The Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh has appointed Dr. Girish Sahni, assistant professor orthopaedics, Government Medical College Patiala, as his officer on special duty (medical services), an official spokesperson said on June 7.

The spokesperson of the chief minister's office said that as per the orders issued on June 5, Sahni would also assist the officer looking after the work of the Department of Medical Education and Research in the chief minister's office He will also continue to perform his duties, as earlier, the spokesperson added.
