A doctor from Yashwantrao Chavan memorial hospital in Pimpri has been held for sexually assaulting a 36-year old domestic help.

The doctor, Vinayak Patil had threatened to kill the woman and defame her if she tried to resist or failed to show up at his house when called. The senior police inspector has said that the doctor hasn't been arrested as yet, as the complainant mentioned that the whole conversation between her and the doctor happened over phone and they will still need time to investigate. Meanwhile, the superintendent of the hospital mentioned that no action has been taken as yet as the incident did not happen within hospital premises and the attack was not over a medico.
