The intern doctors at the Jawaharlal Institute of Post-Graduate Medical Education and Research (Jipmer) on March 5  resorted to a dharna near the casualty unit to press their demands.

They were demanding security at work place and withdrawal of sex abuse case filed against an intern. It may be noted that it was alleged that a doctor allegedly misbehaved with a young woman who came to Jipmer on March 4.The woman ran out of the examination room screaming and her relatives lodged a complaint against the doctor at the D Nagar police station. Police on the basis of the complaint registered a case and started investigation.
