Process in full swing for establishing medical colleges in 4 Haryana districts: Haryana Health Minister

Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij said that the process is in full swing for establishing medical colleges in four districts of the state and a sum of about Rs 2,000 crore would be spent on these colleges.
Replying to a question in the ongoing budget session of Vidhan Sabha on February 27, Mr Vij said that medical college is being established in village Kherki Majra, Sector 102, Gurugram with the assistance of Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority, Municipal Corporation, Gurugram and Shri Sheetla Mata Devi Shrine Board. A sum of about Rs 500 crore would be spent on this college and its construction work would be completed in 36 months.
Apart from this, he said, about Rs 550 crore would be spent on medical college being established at Haibatpur of Jind and its construction work would be got completed in 24 months. Similarly, about Rs 372 crore and Rs 500 crore would be spent on medical colleges being established at Bhiwani and Mahendragarh, respectively. The construction works of these colleges would be got completed in 27 months and 24 months, respectively. All these colleges would have 100 seats each of MBBS course and 500 bedded hospitals. The work of all these colleges has been allotted, he added.
