Private doctors protest against attack on doctors in Pushpanjali hospital, Rewari

On October 29, private doctors under the Indian Medical Association (IMA) protested against the recent shooting incident and continued extortion calls to doctors working at Pushpanjali Hospital, Rewari.
The incident took place on October 16, when armed men entered Pushpanjali hospital and began firing in the air and threatening doctors. The hospital owner, Dr. Yadav was asked for money and has since been receiving constant threats and calls over WhatsApp. He has been instructed by police officials to not answer the calls or react to the threats until further action is taken. Meanwhile, doctors have been wearing black badges and went on a day-long strike on October 29, highlighting the need for better protection for them and hospital staff.
