Piramal Foundation launches cancer screening programme

A community-based cancer screening programme was launched in Assam today by Piramal Swasthya, a Piramal Foundation initiative, to detect cancer early and thereby reduce late-stage diagnosis and mortality.
Inaugurating the programme, Piramal Group Vice Chairperson Swati Piramal said, "We are looking to screen 1.5 million people for oral, breast and cervical cancer and take them to hospital for treatment."
Speaking about her Foundation, Swati said, "Piramal Swasthya aims to transform India s health ecosystem through high impact solutions, partnerships and thought leadership.
