A 26-year doctor and daughter of a high-level retired police officer in Bihar, jumped off the 14th floor of her building in Patna, just a day before her wedding.

The deceased, Dr. Snigdha committed suicide on December 9 at 7.45 am. No suicide note was found and the police investigating the case are yet to arrive at the cause of suicide. The doctor was pursuing postgraduate medical studies at a Kolkata medical college. On December 9, she reached the apartment building early. When questioned by the security personnel, the doctor mentioned that she had come to meet an IAS officer friend who lived in the building. Barely a few minutes later, she jumped off the topmost floor of the building.
