Patient dies due to doctor’s negligence in Jammu hosp

Protests were staged on 16th March in the outskirts of a city in Jammu, demanding police to begin investigation into a case of medical negligence that caused the death of a female patient.
The death of a female patient on 16 March, allegedly caused due to doctor’s negligence triggered protest in the city outskirts.
“The woman who was from a remote village of Bishnah Tehsil had visited to a private eye clinic in Sainik Colony area on the morning of 16th March,” police sources here said. They said that the patient was given an injection prior to the operation post which she collapsed.
“The family shifted her to the Government Medical College and Hospital but she was declared as brought dead,” they added and said that the doctor escaped from the clinic. The family however, later staged protest demanding action against the doctor and sealing of the clinic. Police have registered a case and started the investigations.
