The recent death of a 60-year old caused due to late attendance by district hospital doctors in Tripura has caused a major stir among the public terming it as an act of gross negligence.
In a bizarre incident a patient died due to late attendance by the doctors as alleged by the patient party and the Health Minister assured to look into the irregularities of the Dhalai district hospital at the earliest. According to the information received, the patient, a 60-year old of Chulubari area in the bordering sub-division of Kamalpur suddenly felt ill due to breathing problem and was taken to the local hospital.
The doctors referred her to the district hospital. Allegedly, the doctors attended the patient after 40 minutes and declared the patient brought dead. Getting the information, the BJP leaders from Ambassa reached the spot and informed the entire matter to the Health Minister. He assured that there remained many allegations against the district hospital and he would look into the matter at the earliest. The incident sparked resentment among the local people.
