The district had reached the half mark of the target fixed for the immunization of children under MR vaccination with over 2.50 lakh children immunized since the campaign launched in the district.

Interacting with the school managements here at the local HMV college to achieve the target of the campaign in a time bound manner, the Deputy Commissioner said that under this ambitious campaign more than 2.50 lakh children have been immunized in the district, so far.
He said that an equal number of children in the age group of nine months to 15 years was still to be immunized. Mr. Sharma said that in order to achieve the desired target a joint effort must be made by all the stakeholders be it be parents, educational institutions, health authorities or others.
Mr Sharma said that it was the high time that all of us make strenuous efforts to create history by achieving this target within the stipulated time frame. He said that all of us should strive hard to make sure that the slanderous campaign against this campaign on the social campaign was defeated.
The Deputy Commissioner further said that more and more number of camps would be organized in schools for covering the left out students. Likewise, he said that in month of June outreach camps would be organized in Anganwari centres, Civil Hospitals, Health centres and Dispensaries where parents could get their children immunized on any day.
