Odisha government on Tuesday hiked the incentives of Professors, Associated Professors and Assistant Professors working in VIMSAR, Burla from Rs 50,000 to Rs 2 lakh.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has approved the hike in incentives.State Health and Family Welfare Minister Pratap Jena said for the first time the professors, associated professors and assistant professors working in super specialty departments will get Rs two lakh, Rs 1.5 lakh and Rs 1 lakh incentives per month.Similarly professors, associated professors, and assistant professors working in broad specialty departments will get Rs 1.25 lakh, Rs one lakh and Rs 50,000 respectively per month as being given in other medical colleges in KBK area, the minister said.
