Novel ortho surgery simulator launched in India
Times of India Dec 17, 2018
A new 'open ortho surgery simulator' based on AI has been launched in India to help young surgeons train better by giving them similar settings like in an operation theatre without risking the lives of patients.
The AI simulator will be used for spine and knee surgeries and operations performed for healing and trauma. The new technology, doctors believe will help ensure that surgeons are well trained and updated in dealing with ortho problems. The simulator will help surgeons see results similar to as they would see in the real world.
