NORKA, Kerala to start emergency ambulance service

The Non Resident Keralites Affairs (NORKA) will introduce free emergency Ambulance service to transport expatriate Keralites, returning due to health related ailments, from airports within the state to their residence or hospital.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the service at a function to be held at CM's chamber on Wednesday, a NORKA statement said here. The service functioning under the aegis of Indian Medical Association (IMA) will also help to transport mortal remains of Non-resident Keralites from Airport. For this, NORKA will open 24-hours functioning help desk with phone numbers 1800 425 3939 and 0471 2333339. On receiving help request from expatriate Keralites, the information will be immediately transferred to the help desk of IMA.
Arrangements will be made to transport relatives of patients to Airport and to accompany patients to their residence or hospital, the statement added.
