NISH webinar on Parkinson’s disease on 15th June

National Institute of Speech and Hearing (NISH) is conducting an online seminar on Parkinson’s Disease at its Akkulam campus in Thiruvananthapuram on June 15.
Being organized in collaboration with the Directorate of Social Justice, the 39th NISH online Interactive Disability Awareness Seminar has ‘Parkinsonism and Parkinson’s Disease’ as the topic. Dr Syam K, Additional Professor, Department of Neurology, Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram, will lead the webinar to be held at the NISH campus from 1030 hrs. The two-and-a-half-hour event will be streamed live. To be conducted in Malayalam, the webinar aims to create awareness on the causes, importance of early identification and intervention and the management and rehabilitation options for the individuals suffering from Dementia.
