This was revealed  by Mr Varun Roojam, Mission Director, National Health Mission, Punjab. He said the National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme (NVBDCP) web portal is an online platform for capturing line listing of Dengue, Malaria and Chikungunya cases with features of data analytics, stock monitoring, live dashboard etc. He said this portal was recently launched by Punjab's Health Minister Brahm Mohindra. The portal has been developed in-house by NHM Punjab and has been very effective in awareness generation on Dengue, Chikungunya and Malaria along with live reporting of these diseases. This is the first portal in India which covers NVBDCP cases reporting with auto graphical analysis, live dashboard etc and state is further going to introduce the features like SMS alert to confirmed/suspected patients, GIS mapping of cases etc.

The portal has a facility wherein private hospitals can log in and report the cases of dengue, malaria and Chikungunya in their hospitals. The report will be immediately sent to the concerned District and State for remedial measures for the case concerned.
Mr Varun Roojam further stated that the Urban Health Kiosk is also a new innovative platform for providing health services to urban slum area population from temporary constructed fiber based kiosk in the areas where construction of permanent health centre is not possible. The focus of health services through Kiosk is more towards the coverage of uncovered, under-served, unauthorised slums/colonies etc. Punjab state has 23 kiosks functional at 7 districts --Amritsar, Jalandhar, Patiala, Ludhiana, Sangrur, SAS Nagar and Bathinda.
