Nawanshahr district hospital, Mohali on Tuesday received the award of Rs 50 lakhs under the Kayakalp Swachh Bharat Abhiyan 2017-18 for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and hygiene.

The award was handed over by Health and Family Welfare Minister Brahm Mohindra at a special ceremony held to felicitate the outperforming government health institutions at state institute of health and family welfare here.Speaking on the occasion, the Minister congratulated the Civil Surgeon SBS Nagar, Senior Medical Officer, DH, Nawashehar, Medical Officers and other Para Medical.He said this achievement will further encourage and motivate other districts hospitals of the state to achieve high standards under Kayakalp.

He exhorted the Civil Surgeons to ensure the appropriate implementation of parameters set under the Kayakalap Swach Bharat Abhiyan to maintain quality assurance of health care services.
